Exciting New Casting News Announced For Chicago

It has been officially announced that Sinitta, an international recording artist, pop star, and established Musical Theatre actress, will play Mama Morton in the upcoming UK and Ireland tour of Chicago The Musical.

This is for a “strictly limited” run however, playing in Bradford’s Alhambra Theatre (21 – 26 October 2024) and Stoke’s Regent Theatre (25 – 30 November 2024).

Set in the Razzle-dazzling 20s, Chicago follows Roxie Hart, a woman desperate for fame, as she murders her on-the-side lover and attempts to avoid conviction by hiring a skilful but not-so-ethical lawyer, Billy Flynn. The score includes iconic songs, such as “All That Jazz”, “Cell Block Tango”, and “Razzle-Dazzle.” As well as Mama Morton’s song, “When You’re Good to Mama.”

Sinitta plays alongside stage and soap star Faye Brookes as Roxie Hart, Strictly Come Dancing favourite Kevin Clifton as Billy Flynn, leading West End talent Djalenga Scott as Velma Kelly, alongside Joshua Lloyd as Amos Hart and Jordan Lee Davies as Mary Sunshine.

The cast is completed by Bethany Adamson, Victoria Anderson, Josh Crowther, Joe Dale, Jessica Keable, Robin Kent, Annabelle Laing, Jacob McLay Reid, Jonathan Milton, George Olney, Oliver Ramsdale, Elly Shaw, Lucy Anne Stacey, Matthew Sweet and Ria Tanaka.
